About Me
Robert Poole has been influential in the development and shaping of not only the State College area, but also many other locations throughout Pennsylvania. Bob began as a small home builder and through his more than 30 years of innovative leadership has built S&A Homes into one of the prominent builders of single and multi-family residential communities. Bob is President and CEO of S&A Homes and Allied Mechanical and Electrical, a commercial and residential HVAC company. He is also Chairman and CEO of Poole Anderson Construction, a commercial construction management design/build and general contracting firm.
Bob develops and invests in various other areas of real estate including apartments, self-storage, office space, and retail centers. His activities include commercial construction projects and land development wherein he guides projects through the entitlement process to municipal approval. Among his many successful projects is more than 1 million square feet of rentable self-storage space in facilities located in major markets in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Florida.
Active in business and community affairs in Pennsylvania, both local and regional institutions have benefitted from his guidance and leadership on various boards. Bob has dedicated his time to improving the accessibility and quality of healthcare in his community. Working with local health care leaders and advisors he has helped to enhance the caliber and availability of medical care not only in the Centre Region, but all across the nation as a member of the Geisinger Health Board of Directors.
Bob earned a B.S. degree in accounting at Penn State in 1972 and an M.B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson. He resides in State College with his wife Sandy. Bob has three daughters and three grandchildren.
